Default New Xbox and some problems.

This christmass I got an Xbox 360. The thing occasionally freezes and a restart solves that. However, recently, I went and bought MW2. I get an "error reading disk, clean with a cleaning cloth or restart the system" right before the very first level of the game.

It had a problem reading when I inserted it, and it took a good 6 tries for the game to even load, played the tutorial, but when it gets to the second level it no longer reads, however now the game always gets to the menu and gets to the scene before the first level, but then fail.

I am wondering if it is an Xbox issue, or a game disk issue. Thanks in advance, and in return, tits.

Edit: Spec Ops, and Multiplayer also cause this.

But if he said that it occasionally freezes then it can be the x box, is the disk in or out of it when it freezes up?

I have similar issues with my xbox but its quite a few years old and didnt start having issues till last year.

I believe it was a sharp knock to the console that messed up the DVD drive because it takes me at least 5 tries to get the thing to not think an xbox game is not a DVD.

In my case its the console at fault.

Recently had the MW2 problem. It's the disk that's the problem. The guy at the store said MW2 has rims (rings) running around it and if it's moved whilst in the Xbox - loss of rings - loss of mem.

That, or you bought a faulty disk.

We had a LAN party with MW2 and some dudes disk got screwed with this "ring" phenomenon, same exact thing happened here. Go to a gamestop and they'll fix the disk, if not they'll either take it back or something cool like that.

Offtopic, but, so... much... win...

On topic, I don't have an Xbox, but I'd have to say its the disk (but I could be wrong)

Eddie what Xbox have you got (Pro, Premium, Elite?) Also where do you keep it? If it's in like a cupboard or enclosed space it can overheat and destroy it's self, mine went after a month, just kept crashing within 5 minutes. Tbh if you take it back to what ever store you got it from, with the warantee they will just replace it as it's easier for them.
