we need somone to make a plugin for BF2, at that point we will finally know if mumble or TS shall win

I dunno AD TS3's interface is really nice, its got alot of bells and whistles, lots of chat options, good latency etc.

Mumble atm is superior because of positional audio, but once the plugins for TS3 are out for bf2....I think the choice between them will have to be decided more on Mumble's potential capabilities rather than its current capabilities.

great new features that's for sure... and it shouldn't be too difficult to add positional audio directly from the game data as TS3 already has 3D sound feature.

quality for sure is better, latency seems good too
though, our admin wasn't happy with permission system in it, at least he said its not something you could get in 10 minutes and there is(was) no help about permissions rules

in the end of the day as a guest i could kick channel admin from server while he couldn't

The new permission system is supposed to be awesome from what the dev blog has posted about in the past. Admins can give each person a rating on a scale that limits all the options they can do.

Alll this plugintalk is nice and all, but is there someone out there willing to create a plugin for BF2? That's when things may get a bit interesting. Until that time, it doesn't offer much to me.
