New video card: Price vs Quality.

Ok my 6600 GT decided to die the other day (when playing BF2, F.E.A.R, etc. I get red and green blocks all over my screen). So I want to go buy a new card tomorrow.

BFG GeForce 7800GS Overclocked 256MB AGP Graphics Card - $399.99USD

or

ATI Radeon X1600 Pro AGP 512MB Video Card - $269.99USD

or

ATI Radeon X700 Pro 256MB AGP Video Card - $159.99USD

Just looking for the one that would beable to play BF2, etc. on high with decent frame rates.

i got an radeon x800gto for under $200 it runs BF2 on medium/high settings, it can run it on high but sometimes maps like steel thunder will lag it a bit, so i just keep it on meduim/high settings. also remember night stages you need your dynamic shadows at medium.

I've bought direct from ATI before, and have always used ATI. Currently using an X850XT, and no problems to mention.

i bought a Sapphire X800gto2 256meg, version with the red circuit board. It can be Bios flashed and overclocked to behave like the X850XTPE, jumping to 3dmark05 @ 6230. the blue circuit board model can have the extra pipelines unlocked but not overclocked, so only sees 4480 marks. Only shader 2.0 though, where the nvidia 6800gt 256meg is shader 3.
