The Apex tip is adjustable. It does diving and hooking shots as well. Because it's just a tip you can put it on several differen't type of barrel, so you can cater for bore size and accuracy
Unlike the flatline, you can choose how much spin you want to put on the ball. The further paintballs fly the less accurate they become. So if want to sacrifice range and shoot dead straight you put it on 0, but if you just want distance you click it all the way up to 8. With a flatline you can't do that. It's all or nothin' Q: Which is better the Apex or the Flatline? A: Most players who have used both the Apex and the Flatline will agree that the Apex is better for the following reasons: * The Apex is far cheaper than the Flatline. * The Apex tip can be attached to different barrels. * The Apex will shoot farther than the Flatline. * The Apex is more accurate than the Flatline at distances. * The Apex tolerates paint much better than the Flatline. * The amount of spin put on the ball can be adjusted with the Apex * The Apex can be turned off so that you can retain the full accuracy of the barrel it is attached to. * The Apex can perform trick shots and dive bomb shots. * The Apex can easily be switched out, unlike the Flatline. |

Semi-necro, I know, sorry!
Anyway, was just wondering what recommendations people might have for a nice, good quality Paintball marker, specifically a rifle variant. I recently purchased a TPX pistol, but I now need a good rifle to go along with it. So what would anyone recommend? Tipmann A5? 98 Pro? I'm looking to buy something less than $200, but I can still go a little over if necessary. Thoughts? |

Kind of topic with this thread.
Don't know if any of you watch the show on NBC called Community, but last week's ep. was really funny with a paintball theme: Hulu - Community: Modern Warfare - Watch the full episode now. I was lmao when the Asian dude from the Hangover walked in with the suit on and started blasting Since it is Hulu can probely only be watched in the USA, but I'm sure you can find it other places It is episode 23, season 1 Here is a short trailer for it, but doesn't show the funny parts

It's available on NBC's website as well. That was a ridiculously hilarious episode, pretty awesome. Will probably have real paintball players wincing, no eye-protection

so I never ended up getting it back then but I am now, I know I want either the tippmann a5/x7/phenom but im not sure what would be the best for me. I know I want to set it up like an m16.
Pretty much something like this
I know I want the on the fly fire mode setting which I believe is available on all 3 with the egrip? as well as I want to be able to carry the air on my back so the line going through the magazine. Any suggestions? ideas?

The Tippmann A5 is not too pricey, and it has many great features and great customization capabilities. If you're willing to spend more money to get a slightly newer and more refined product, I'd go with the X7, but if you just want a solid marker that can be turned into an M-16, then I'd go with the A5. And get a pistol sometime too, they're awesome.
