Actually no, Outlawz. I don't know about explosions, but I doubt we can generate the kind of energy needed to vaporize the entire earth in a few seconds.

As for a micro black-hole, after creation it will drop into the earths mantle and orbit inside the earth, slowly devouring it.

As it grows larger, it will eat faster and faster. Still this process will take many months before any effects (earthquakes, etc.) will be noticed. 90% of the earths mass will only be sucked in the last five minutes or so.

Even so, you will have months and months to agonize over earths coming demise.

There is a very nice SF novel, where scientists create a black-hole, which promptly escapes it containment field and starts eating.

There seems to be a flaw in this whole conspiracy theory. If we did in fact create a black hole that destroyed the Earth then where are these "visitors" from the future coming from?

that is the paradoxon you have with time travels: they CAN go back in time to prevent the earth from being destroyed, BECAUSE they went back in time to prevent the earth from being destroyed.

This is no way near as awesome of a mind fluff that Heinlein's short story was about that guy who travels through time and bangs himself giving birth to himself.

But for all we know, this could be that alternate dimension sort of stuff and we're in the multiverse!
