I'm not sure why everyone worries so much about LHC, if it starts a black hole or uber nuclear explosion, we won't know anyway, because we'll die in a few seconds. Unless if it doesn't engulf the whole world, then Aussies can be concerned as they'll have to bring Mad Max back.

i wouldn't be surprised if the physicists themselves are doing the sabotage themselves. Nearly every physicist ive met (which is exactly 2) have stated that they really dont want the higgs boson to be found.

The reasoning is that if the higgs boson is found, it would imply that the current model of the universe is correct, and that just boring.

I figure it's because it's an ENORMOUS MACHINE with a massive power requirement that we've never built before, and we don't yet see all the flaws in our design.

Remember the first powered aircraft? Yeah, that didn't rule at all.
