Sound recording
Guys, I have a 249mb .wav file that I want to re-code into a smaller file size. I am assuming it'd be an mp3 format, but what's the best tool to do this? And how would I do this in simple terms?

I have a mate that will probably know the answer to this, I'll ask him if you want.
(Edit: scratch that, looks like slick has it covered) |

What software do you have?
I can do it with my Adobe Audition or Sony SoundForge. If you want me to do it, I can give you an FTP accout to upload it to my website -Slick |

do it with the FLAC codec using Jetaudio, it's pretty much lossless, if you have to use mp3 then think about bitrate and use a decent ripping program (so many reviewed as damaging music whilst encoding) 192kbs is cd quality, more is better!

got it sorted with Slick's help. Went from 249mb to 90.3mb, which is a little easier on the bandwidth side of things
