Off Topic- Americas Army

Please dont bash me for asking this here, i know it is not their forum, but, if i ask there all i get is its the best, dont bother with any other game, etc, etc. I would like to know from those here if anyone plays this game also and how does it compare to PR as far as realism goes and ballistics and graphics. I love PR and will support it always because it has given me hours of great fun, but, i also like other games and i was wondering if anyone here plays it and what do they think of it, also the online play how is it. Thanks all

I still play it every now and then (will play it alot more when the next version comes out) but it some ways its more realistic and others it isn't.

AA lacks in the teamwork area, but the maps arn't gigantic like they are in BF2 and its sometimes better to split up.

It does the medicing alot better, In AA, when you are hit, you bleed. There are 1-3 medics per team and ya gotta call one over and they can stop the bleeding, however your aiming isn't as good as it was.

The ballistics are better also in AA. they can bounce off certain materials if the bullets hits it at the right angle. However, the bullets do not go through thin plywood walls...

Every map in AA has a diffrent objectine. some are seccuring a weapons cache, others are to steal intel and bring it back to your base.

There are only so many of each weapon class in AA. Max of 2 snipers etc etc...

AA i feel has more realism to it, but it is also more serious. and there are so many good players on it that you get lit up without knowing what is going on. It takes time to get used to, but its a awesome game if ya get some good buddies to play with.

Terrorism is a disease, Rangers are the cure.

I play it every now and then.

Its a really good game, especially for free - but I get very little enjoyment out of it, because its hard, and all I seem to do is die! The players are quite up-tight, but its always a laugh to go on a fun server and do rockets only or SOPMOD only, brilliant.

I try and play it every now and then, PB doesn't like me which makes me upset, it has a bug where it picks random players, about 15 got kicked from a server yesterday, people is mad!

, I was waiting for a DEV to do that!

Anyway, I laugh at MrD for his inability to do medic training. Tehe.

great game, just went back to it for awhile when I got sick of vbf2, gonna go back a whole bunch more when the new versions come out.....actually its the only game for me that I have gone back to over and over again these past few years, great maps, great ambient sound efx, lots of good things with this game that bf2 does not have or can even come close too, and vice versa as bf2 is obviously much nicer to look at if you have a good computer
