you can also look into noise isolation earbuds. I don't know why you'd want to wear bulky headphones in public.

I love my Senn HD555 so I bought Senn noise isolation earphones before a flight. I didn't do my research and ended up with a pair of earphones with excellent sound quality and noise isolation but with an awfully designed wire, to the point where it's a nuissance to wear them.

this is them, the wire for one ear is longer than the other, and the wire from the jack is way too long, so not only does it dangle a lot, but its lopsided also.

One ear's longer so you can put it around your neck

Those are MDR-XB500's, you can get MDR-XB700's for almost the same price on amazon.

Amazon.com: Sony MDR-XB700 50mm XB Diaphragm Driver Extra Bass Headphones: Electronics

And according to "Germania" over on Head-fi.org, they absolutely rock socks.

I'd definitely trust her word, mate. She's got more headphone experience than everyone in this thread combined.

EDIT: Out of curiosity, what are you connecting these too? I-pod I assume?

Only reason I ask is because Germania said they didn't sound as good without an independent amp feeding them. But I'd still say they're pretty damn good.

So I say your best two choices are...

Amazon.com: Sony MDR-XB700 50mm XB Diaphragm Driver Extra Bass Headphones: Electronics

or

Amazon.com: Klipsch IMAGE S4 In-Ear Enhanced Bass Noise-Isolating Headphone: Electronics

If I were you I'd go with the S4's. They have good isolation, they're supposed to sound great, an i-pod will power them nicely and they'll be handy for travelling.

I'm currently using these

But those S4's look pretty sweet, and I may be in the market for some more in ear ones.
