Post PR2 wishlist (for fun)

First of all, we don't know very much about PR2 atm, so don't make this too serious (but not too stupid either). PR2 may very well never happen, we don't know. So that's why this is in the OT-section.

Anyway - share your wishes and dreams about PR2 here.

Here's a little personal "do want" list I made. It's not complete though, and it may contain some obvious stuff.

Quote:
Infantry:
- True first person view, with “the camera” inside the head and physical body below viewable by the player
- Track-IR support
- Stamina like in OFP/Arma
- Movement system with momentum and inertia
- Realistic simulation of movement up inclines, etc
- Cover system that allows leaning, and in general exposing as little of your body as possible depending on cover
- Damage system based on where the player is hit, blood loss, etc.
- Black outs and loss of stamina caused by bleeding
- Less ability to aim steadily when hit, hit in a leg causes the player to limp, etc
- Ability for all soldiers to carry out basic first-aid, such as stopping bleeds
- Only the platoon medic can bring wounded soldiers back to combat effective condition
- Encumbrance/inventory system
- Ability to hold breath temporarily for steady aim
- Free aim

Weapons:
-Weapon sway
- Realistic recoil
- Realistic ballistics/projectile physics
- Backblast from AT-weapons
- Realistic penetration model
- Ability to rest weapons on surfaces
- Sight adjutment
- Overheating barrels
- Manual bolting

Ground vehicles general:
- Detailed damage system based on armor, material, penetration, vehicle parts, etc. No “hitpoints”
- Engines on/off (for decreasing heat signatures and noise)
- Headlights
- Hand breaks and “normal” breaks
- Ability to stock weapons, ammo and equipment in all vehicles with troop transporting capability
- Track-IR support

Tanks:
- Playable positions: commander and gunner (driver and loader = boring)
- Commander controls movement of the tank
- Realistic sights
- Stabilizers
- Fire Control Systems
- FLIR/NV/etc
- Overpreassure from the main cannon

APC's/IFV's:
- Playable positions: commander and gunner (driver and loader = boring)
- Commander controls movement of the vehicle
- Realistic sights
- Sight adjutment
- Stabilizers
- Fire Control Systems
- FLIR/NV/etc
- Ability for infantry to stand up in top-hatches, if the vehicle has it

AAV's:
- Radars
- Radar/laser-paint guided SAM's
- Radar guided cannons
- Playable positions: commander and gunner (driver and loader = boring)
- Commander controls movement of the vehicle
- Realistic sights
- Sight adjutment
- Stabilizers
- Fire Control Systems
- FLIR/NV/etc

Aircraft vehicles general:
- Radars
- Track-IR support
- Detailed damage system based on armor, material, penetration, vehicle parts, etc. No “hitpoints”
- Fuel leaks

Rotary-wing:
- Realistic flight model
- Open/closeable doors
- Ability to adjust elevation of HYDRA-launchers
- 3D-hud
- FLIR/NV/etc
- Realistic sights
- Sight adjutment
- Stabilizers

Fixed-wing:
- Realistic flight model
- 3D-hud
- FLIR/NV/etc
- Realistic sights
- Sight adjutment
- Stabilizers

Organization:
- Platoon system, with two 7-man squads (SL + two 3-man fire teams) in each platoon, 1 platoon leader and 1 platoon medic attached to the platoon leader. So one platoon = 16 men
- Commander

Communication:

- Built in positional audio like Arma has (and like Mumble)
- Different “nets”, like one channel for comms within your unit, and an alternative for comms within vehicles, to other elements, etc

The language and concepts contained in this post are guaranteed not to cause eternal torment in the place where the guy with the horns and pointed stick conducts his business.

This thread is going to be so.. spammed.. Anyways something I want in PR2?

Bigger Squads.
Bigger maps.
A monthly subscription to filter all the troublemakers.
Bullet ballistics.


Swedes are badass because they have to fight polar bears all the time

the ability to drag wounded players to safety
detailed hand to hand combat
realistic balistics with better tracer models
dynamic weather and day/night transition
campaign style map playlists
variety of maps, ranging from really big open forests, to dense urban areas
80+ player servers
realistic swimming/water manuvuers

Na, look at ArmA, it can handle a crapload of players, but that doesn't mean it's what you want . I know what you mean though .
