According to the above graph... Icleland is as wasteful and Ireland is almost as wasteful as America... and their populations that are fractions of what America has.

And Australia, which is also much smaller than the United States, gives off more green house gasses...

Smooth Operator... that graph proves that you are wrong.

IRT Crawley: Liberalism is a mental disorder. I firmly believe that. It has all the signs and characteristics of some wierd condition just like OCD or being bipolar. You have to be disgregarding all logic and facts for Liberal economics to make any sense at all.

That is why havin more than 5 TV channelss it stupid. I still enjoy many programs, jsut becuase i only watch them once aweek. I dont have 24 hour news, and the small ammout of TV i watch (about 1.5 hours), i am very critical about.
Too much TV i say.

We must remebr that we could be critical about any country in the world, it is jsut America has so mcuh money going to it's GOvernment.

It is peoples ignorance and lazyness that is most shocking, this being displayed by well educated and well off members of society.
THis being displayed through a number of things
- over use of cars
- obesity and overwieghtness (unhealthy lifestyle)
- treatement of children, allowing drinkin, appaling behaviour, excessive eating and TV wathcing
- wastefullness (as shown earlier)

most of these are jsut out of being lazy, and this generation is sometimes know as the "baby boomers" or "lazy f*****s" as some might say.

Alos supported by the fact that the whole county of Surrey (50,000 peeps plus) cna only produce 1 - 400m runner in the vets age group, this sit can also be taken advantage of by the clever human being, at 3 gold medals cna be extracted from such a sitution - proven by my mum.

please elaborate, as that is exactly why you would use “per capita” measurements..

sorry to disappoint you and annihilate the next point you’re making.. I’m from Sweden, only live temporarily in Germany..

I’m not upset that you use more oil than you produce.. that’s just balancing recourses.. (or it would be, only the west is using up a limited resource long before the rest of the world can afford to..)
And as to the “carbon footprint”, as I’m Swedish.. you’ll find mine way at the top of the diagram.. this in spite of Sweden having less capita per sqr.km. (a large chunk of carbon pollution is transports..) AND having a colder climate (overall) than the US..
maybe you should start lobbying for the US to stop blocking the Kyoto Protocol and “STFU” as we say..

your views and interpretations of Noam Chomsky are endearing.. but you seem to fail at understanding that his greatness lies in that he bases most of his analysis on declassified internal documents of the US government foreign policy strategies and historical fact.
You can disagree with his position all you want.. but if you do not understand what your own government has been and is up to (in their own words..) it is you, my friend, who is ignorant..

I agree that the US should adopt the Kyoto protocol as should all 1st world countries plus all the deveopling country's when they are able to. Just explain to me why it is you seem to believe all liberals are idiots admittly some are but so are replubicans. Me personally I'm liberal on some issues and right wing on others.
Also smooth_opreator let's not turn this into a flame war.

And just to clarify/educate, Australia is a country of 2 ppl/sqr.km in comparison to US 30 (or Sweden 20). Due to the massive differences in how far goods will have to travel to reach people, it is not VERY strange that Australia should have such high CO2 emissions.. (it should be noted that the population of Australia IS mainly concentrated to city/urban areas along the costs, but they still face HUGE distances in delivering goods etc. to ppl in the inland..)

I assumed someone would turn into an immature asshole pretty fast. I was right. But no offence, of course.
