Default Help me find a quality headset.

Anyone know a really nice headset with a really clear mic and such. I've been using a cheapo $20 headset from 2003 with the fuzzy stuff on the ear pads is now ripped off for awhile I'm really just looking for a nice mic that makes me extremely clear when talking with my team and communicating with people.

Thanks

I'm looking at this but most reviews dont talk about the quality of the mic. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826153043

I'm no professional with the whole sound thing but Microsoft's Life Chat LX-3000 is perfect for me. Good quality sound and mic, what more could you ask for? Oh ya it's pretty cheap if you get it non-retail (in Australia we have MSY). I know 3 other people with the headset and they're all still working perfectly. My mate's logitech sets kept braking (all 4 of em :O).

Hows it fit on the ears? I currently use Logitech ones, and they like seem to crush my ears. That, and I train muay thai so sometimes they get beaten a little and I'm wary of getting cauliflower ear.

Sigless.

What's your budget, Spriggan?

Because the best "headset" out there is most likely the Beyerdynamic MMX300 - Amazon.com: Beyerdynamic MMX 300 PC Gaming Premium Digital Headset with Microphone: Electronics

Total BS though, considering it's just DT770's with a mic attached and it costs 200 more

....*spends 20mins doing research for spriggan*.....

Right, here's the best choice....

Amazon.com: SteelSeries 4H Headset (Black): Video Games

Oh man i would give anything for wireless headset. I broke five ~20€ headsets in just 2 months. And then i had enough of those cheap piece of c*aps and bought 60€ fatal1ty headset, which were quite good but i managed to break em after one month of usage. Now i've been rolling with Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000 and they're decent for under 20€ budget, it has a USB input which sucks and my ears hurt after wearing em a all day.

Steelseries Siberia 7.1 Surround headset.
Comfortable, (And thats not just something I say like "oh well these are kinda comfortable hehe" I seriously forget I'm wearing them sometimes ^^) fantastic sound, mic has excellent quality, best I've ever used... Only downside is the microphone isn't attached to the headset, but I fixed that by just attaching my own rod thing to the headset.

Oh and did I mention they're 7.1 surround?
