RTS Evolution?
So going through gamespot I noticed some really incredible looking RTS games that I'll be keeping my eyes on. I'm going to get straight to it as well.

I don't know how many people might be interested, but I thought it might be appropiate to bring these games to everyone's attention. |

Not really into RTS's although I will admit that World In Conflict looks pretty cool. Oh and company of hero's too.

I was neeever into RTSs until Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War came along. Something about that game is just so fun to me. Has a great sense of humor too. I'd say it's a great RTS for beginners too since it's not horribly deep (but not dumbed down by any means.)
Seeing as how Comany of Heroes is made by DOW's developer Relic, I'm sure I'll check that one out. The one I'm looking most forward to is World in Conflict. I love those alternate-reality where the Cold War escalated into all-out war, I'm a huge nerd for that kinda thing :B Supreme Commander looks a little cheesy to me, but that's just a first impression. Not liking all the bright-ass blue and red on the opposing teams and the designs aren't the kinda sci-fi/futuristic look I go for. C&C3 looks really amazing, though I've never played any C&C games before. Always been curious about those. Graphics look great and I love the unit designs; the right way to do sci-fi/futuristic. |

 Look, they are trying to take out a Tiger tank with bullets!  Again...  Meh... Seriously, I'd not talk about "evolution". Sure, they look good, but what new elements will they bring into the game? I guess little to nothing that games that came first didn't, or did in a different way. I'd check them out, though. |

YOu have to read up on them.
Company of Heroes has to be one of the first RTS games I've heard of to include elements of a first-person shooter. Physics, advance AI etc. Its really going to provide for a dynamic experience. Supreme Commander I found interesting because of the scale of it. If you watch the trailer, you'll see that you can litteraly zoom out, and head to the other side of the continent to view an ongoing battle. Its the OFP of RTS games in terms of size. World in Conflict is just really interesting. I don't think I can really describe it, but I think its something unique that the RTS genre could use. I'm also a long time C&C fan. I first got into RTS games since Tiberium Sun back in the late 1990s. |

Supreme Commander looks interesting, will be looking into it more in the future i'm sure
Not too fussed on CoH, yet another WWII RTS i feel, meh World in Conflict, not heard much about this one... Command and Conquer 3. Now this is a game i am most certainly excited about. Loved the C&C series ever since playing a demo of the original, the FMV on the demo and the gameplay blew me away  . Got Red Alert 2 and from there was in love, an awesome game. From there got Tib Sun (greatness on a disc) and Generals which was a let down for me. When i read about C&C3 i decided to go out and set up a fan site, see my sig for details

Ive been following all of those and so far World in Conflict looks the most interesting. For me anyway
and COH looks really nice ps AOE2 FTW |
