Blizzard Finally Response: “SC2′s Lan Is No Big Deal” @ NotCliche
Quote:
Steam has OFFLINE mode capabilities, and while its a pain in the butt, at least its there. It just needs to now and again check online to update your registry/make sure its not all hacked up and crap. To me, thats a possible alternative. It keeps pirating at bay by requiring you to go online and update/check the install, but also allows one to get possible 2-3 weeks of offline/LAN play before needing to rehook up to battlenet2.0 and getting checked again. That could be a possible set-up. Would be nice. | |

A p2p connection that still requires internet to be made doesnt sounds like a valid LAN if you ask me.

Yes it seems to be another letdown of another game series... First Red Alert. Then Alien Vs Predator, Resistance 2.. Command and Conquer. I do hope now they dont even bother making a Warcraft 4.. If they carry on like this it'll be unplayable.

I actually like the game. Very cool missions, cool upgrades and gameplay. Just finished the mission on the lava planet, and that was awezome

The game is great no doubt. But the multiplayer b.net 2.0 system kinda sucks...
