Mumble v1.2
1.2.0 - Mumble

Better sound quality, whispers, etc.

The competition between voice software is good for us

TS2 sound quality is far good enough I think. Mumble has better quality, but it's still shit compared to real life.

You can now set up one-sided whispers. This will redirect your voice to a set of players or channels. The possibilities are fairly large; for example, you can whisper to "everyone in my parent channel, and all channels linked to it, that are a member of the @admin group". You can whisper to as many different "targets" as you want at the same time.
awesome

We could have

Team 1 SLs
Team 2 SLs
main channel
Air Assets <- as they sometimes need in dept coms for CAS.

Brings alot more possibilities.

I know, but this thread has a different discussion dinamics. Here we bring up the qualities to compare both programs. We are not attacking each-other.

But, anyway, if a MOD thinks the better is close the topic, he has the tools.

If mumble continues to fiddle with my windows sound settings then TS all the way, I prefer TS anyway.

-You know you can turn that off, right? Settings/Options/Sound Notifications. However, Mumble being open source is a massive advantage, I doubt we'd be able to have a PR specific version of TS.

If TS3 has working 3D audio and lowers the latency while raising the voice quality then I might use it. I have always preferred Ventrilo over TS2 and Mumble is great for talking with those sometimes helpful blue guys.
