i played the trial , and loved it. really saw the potential just wasn't prepared to pay that much, though to my understanding the more you play the less you pay as you can pay for subscription fees with in game money.

i played the trial for 2 months once... recreating accounts just to play.. was really pathetic.

If I wasn't in college, and needing to do better things.. i'd probably be playing EVE, because i used to play DAoC and loved the PvP aspect of it all.

and the economy thing, the economy got ruined by the prime minister putting his freand in charge of the banks, thats what ruined it.. the brit anti-trerror laws just dident help much....i think its more of an icelandic person thing more,

but back to eve online, what is the point of it really.. i mean, is it just like a city builder/ world builder game?

I used to play but needed to finish because i didn't have time. I have played for about 2 years and were a memeber of the biggest alliance in game called "goonswarm" counting around 5000 members. The corporation was called "battlestars. Have been in huge capital ship battles and in huge fleets with my Technology 2 fitted Megathron Battleship. I really want to start again but would need to first find some of my friends from BTLS(battlestars) or at least get some contact with them so i can join up again. Dannysturbo i hope you are reading this


I also been part of the huge steam rolled destruction of Band of brothers which happen over night. We were taking out about 40 Bob POSes per day for those who know what i mean. Its a miracle if one is taken out perday.

Played for quite a while but when my pals quit out it slowed down quite a bit and I didn't have time with studies to learn the massive universe that is EVE.

when you start off , from what i understand you wont see any PVP as you will be in a high security area (NPC "police". you just do missions for AI agents to get some money. so there wont be many human "enemy's" intill you get into low security areas in which guilds or corps or what ever have territory :

Yeah i do remember just being told to run the hell out of dodge when passing through 0.5 and below security levels. Remember seeing on the cadet chat someone in their new 6 million ISK cruiser got amubushed when flying through 0,0 space and was jammed from warping and got slightly owned in the face. They didnt seem happy.
