Just because we sign a petition it doesn't mean they'll get right on to working on a brand new game.

Besides, the goal of Project Reality is to hit the big 1.0, and even then they may work on the mod some more. Moving everything to a new engine, presumably FrostBite, might take a long time.

I'll sign in it, nonetheless.

Meh, no harm could come of signing it apart from EA making a game north worth paying for until PR does its magic on it

Im pretty sure they're already working on it. It will be a massive money spinner during hard times for game companies, and EA have said that are going tol concentrate on franchises. In some ways I suspect that the BF2 1.5 patch is part of the marketing budget for BF3.

Also DICE themselves have given out several hints recently that they're working on it at the moment, but I suspect they wont give out official confirmation until a few months after the BF:BC2 release.

We all know they are working on BF3. And we all know they are not releasing any updates because they are still upgrading their Frost Bite engines. Yes im 100% BF3 will get is very own BF3 Frost Bite Engine, much like the BF2 Engine.

They are probably not going to make any announcements about BF3 until i would say around August, then they will tell you it will be ready in time for Christmas, but we all know that REALLY means 9 months after December

This i can promise you, DICE arent gonna let this one get away, in this current economical situation BF3 could be a Make or Break for EA and DICE, its the only game that will redeem them after horrific releases like BF:1943 (WITH ONLY 3 FREAKIN MAPS), Although BF: BC 2 is looking good all eyes and ears are on BF3, its what they want.

They will make BILLIONS. They are smart people...

No thanks, the worse thing in the world for PR would be BF3; too much time and effort put into fixing all the fudge in BF2, the DEV's would have to start all over again. Nope, PR would be much smarter to move to a completely different (and non-EA) platform once 1.0 comes out.
