Gotta love this, this is one of the texture for the Aircraft Defences on the vBF2 carrier.




Anyone who doesn't know much about modelling, UVing or skinning might not get this

When UV mapping you want to limit the amount of blank spaces for textures. So in the picture above instead of merging a few more textures in there they have a bunch of space wasted that still gets loaded into the memory.


Rhino you would be amazed the amount of times I've heard "Hey I know we said you have 4 days to finish this but its really only 1, so can you have this done by 2pm thankkkkkssss."

ye, apart from they also put the text "waste of space" in the wasted space hehe

nope, its what's in the texture, open it up and have a look for yourself

Also where most of the vBF2 models are really undersized from the r/l counterparts, the Phalanx is oversized
