Yeah i got a jackson upper level 7 string, i would say dont get one, it actually makes it slower learning new things. Im going back to 6, the 7 is good for rhythm and shit in lower tunings. I play lots in B.

I'm looking for a new graphics card. Due to a max price (£300 including TAX) I want to spend, I found this card, a 5'12Mb Gainward BLISS 7900GT Dual DVI "Golden Sample"'.
It boasts :
GPU Speed: 550 MHz
Memory: 512Mb
Memory Bit Rate: 256 Bit
Memory Type: GDDR3
Memory Speed: 1400 MHz

Now - this might not be the best so can any of you that have seen a better deal for a PCI card for under £300 please post here!
First off, I would recommend XFX, BFG, ASUS, or PNY Technologies.

Secondly, these are not PCI, they're PCI-Express...there's a BIG difference. I just thought I'd mention it because I don't know if it was a typo or not, and just wanted to make sure, just in case.

Thirdly, make sure you have enough room for those. They are big cards. They require a lot of your PSU, and can overhead quite fast if your system is not well ventilated, among other things..

As far as the price goes...I would give a lot of concideration to the warranty and support the company offers before even looking at the card offer...in the end, a card's life is it's long term warranty..

I have a BFG Tech GeForce 6800 GTOC 256MBs. It has lifetime warranty and comes factory overclocked by ~25MHz

ya I had to buy a new 500 watt psu with specific minimum amperage ratings just to use my my xfx 7900gt (bought em together on newegg, the 7900gt required a minimum of 400 watt 26 amp @ 12volt and I figured I was already using quite a bit extra from my stock 350watt). it was pushing out warm (probly hot by computer standards) air out the back of the psu, so 2 or 3 days later I went to my fry's electronics and bought a new screaming loud case fan and proc fan - it stays nice and cool now, with the downside that you can hear my computer fans loud and clear from the hallway.

Esps aint bad, but not very playable compared to the alterative. Also, EMG pickups are weak. They dont take any sound from teh guitar, although on a ESP that may be a good thing. EMGs sound the same on any guitar. From a $150 yamaha to a $2000 fender strat.

Um, yeah sorry. No more thread jacking for me. Sorry again.
