Default ANZAC day 25th of April

If people could take a moment of silence on this Remembrance Day .

Anzac Day marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War. When The ANZAC force landed at Gallipoli on 25 April.

Anzac Day - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The acronym ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, whose soldiers were known as Anzacs.

New Zealand is a small country but no matter how big the country is any such loss is a major loss to it's people.

let us not forget what these men did, the men that made the ultimate sacrifice so that others might live in freedom.

They will always be remembered.

And now every April I sit on my porch
And I watch the parade pass before me
I see my old comrades, how proudly they march
Reliving their dreams of past glory
I see the old men, all twisted and torn
The forgotten heroes of a forgotten war
And the young people ask me, "What are they marching for?"
And I ask myself the same question

And the band plays waltzing matilda
And the old men still answer to the call
But year after year their numbers get fewer
Some day no one will march there at all

Aye, the day's not about why one country or another did this or that, it's about respecting those who fell doing their duty on both sides. Lest we forget.
