Keep playing 1v1 ranked... there is bound to be a player worse than you

Also watch some replays and see what strategies others are using.

My main problem right now is that I am level 30something and did mainly play US. So I have very little experience with the other factions but only get opponents who know what they are doing.

Id probably buy this if it didnt come with the silly DRM system... Not sure how long it would last though. Any idea on max players in a match? And if it affects unit count?

Woot, im starting to get a hang of this game.

normally place around 4 AT cannons and 3 AA in pairs in forested areas, while i get my Air force to do strafing runs on their supply lines.

Favourite faction would be GB because of their planes and AT/AA/Artillery or German because of their AT/AA and tanks.

managed to sneak past half the map with a tiger column right in their forward base under cover of radio silence going over 3 sectors and some good air reconnaissance. which showed how I had to sneak past.

my stuka's and ME109's took out any paratrooper or bomber plane while the AT and AA positions in the forested areas held their ground almost to effective

Its also so much fun to see infantry or an overstretched supply line in the open and you attack with 3 or 4 hurricanes

Their was also a guy that wasnt doing much the whole round than collecting money, until he got an airfield and got a shitload of para's over my base, luckily ive seen that coming and i placed around 10 AA cannons in the forested while my RAF was doing missions continuesly against the spam.

I really like this game and am considering getting it now.

I really want modding tools though so some one could make a modern warfare mod with bigger maps.

I just played this morning before going to work. How did you get 18 up, don't they cost like $100 each? I.e. you'd need $1800 to create them and when online I find by then saving all that cash up... you get attacked and don't have enough to actually create units/buildings.

Do share your wisdom please.

I've found my own little niche in controlling the center grounds. I love the fact that it doesn't need to be a game changer.

This game I had >7000 cash by the end, and the center allows you to roll out units as close to the battle as possible.

AA in the forest then AA fortified positions then infantry and AT in the forest then your Arty now your buildings and you're rolling



The ownage along the other front was also part of the game.

Just figured out that in 1v1 there seems to be a relatively unbeatable strategy (at least I didn't find any counter that worked). The guy using it hasn't lost any games recently and is currently on #1 position on the leaderboards.

He plays GB and builds two depots and an airfield. Then he sends out a para to a position near an enemy supply route and then constructs a hurricane or recon plane depending on the enemy's behaviour. Then he usually starts the spitfire research and builds those to keep control of the skies. If the sky is not really contested he goes on with research into the typhoon or he builds another supply depot.

I was playing at least 5 rounds Ger vs GB with him and no counter worked against him basically doing the same thing. The best I could do was to delay him by using ridiculous amounts of AAA but that only worked until he started coming with prototype tanks.

Once I surprised him by playing GB against him using the same tactic he had basically. This game was quite interesting at first but he managed to beat me with experience. I do not really see a way to counter him since the air in GB is extremely strong and due to the mobility there is no way of protecting all important places.
