I undershot my goal of 10000 polys by 1000, but I htink I accomplished what I needed to lol. With such a comlex shape it was hard to go low poly. I'll skin this baby tonight and we'll see who's the top cd maker!

Yeah, make an opacity map for the center bit, and make a cool photorealistic scene of it sitting on a table.

I have the entire thing UVMapped. And I plan on making a map for opacity, bump (the metal film I have on the cd in front of my is kinda bumpy), color, maybe a few more if I get bored....Now I just need to figure out how to make Maya render those chromatic lines.

You make a nice high quality picture of it and I'll use it. I need to have no reflections and be evenly lit. Have fun...lol

I'm not sure what maya's default materials are, but in 3d studio max, if you use a material with 'chrome' for the diffuse texture and then mess with the settings, it'd do the trick quite nicely.
