Does anyone here really go in for case modding?

I've never seen the point, personally.

I like to cut grass during summers. As we have "military technology" forum why not add "grass cutting technology" sub-forum as well?

Not that it troubles me any way, nor am I anyone to speak behalf of everyone.. But personally I'd rather stay away from 'all purpose' forums and concentrate mostly to Project Reality in all her glory. It's already long way down to sub-forums I read, thus I wouldn't want to start scrolling any further.

/ oh, and I have bright blue led inside my case... With window of course. That's pretty much all.. And I have painted my NAS server case, so that counts in case modding too, I suppose.

I've started cutting the 3,5' hole in the panel covering the CD/DVD drives so my front audio panel fits in the 3.5 slot

I forgot to say.. With my last PC I had to replace the CPU fan because of the excess noise. So I took a 80mm case fan and inserted it above the CPU heatsink. The problem was that I had to improvise the installation, because obviously there was nothing that could have supported it directly.

In the end I drilled a screw through 9mm bullet to give support for the fan and continued half way thru the heatsink. This way the fan was steadily attached and worked like a charm till I bought new stuff inside. I'd say it was there for 2 years.

Heh, the last case I modded was the POS case I had lying around.

That thing never heard of airflow so I had to drill holes in the front
