Something similar to what the first poster said. It'd be a FPS rpg containing an awesome flight and car engine. Could be something like a fully modern civilisation on a bigger island out in the pacific ocean. You could get a car and drive along the thousands of miles of open road, legal or illegal together with other players out in the world. You could run in the jungle (Crysis style) and perhaps set up a camp. Why not build yourself a nice lovely house by the ocean? Or get yourself a gun and turn it into an action game against the civil protection. That'd be the perfect game in my opinion. A game which along with the time could be shaped into a very advanced civilisation and with diffrent politics controlled by the players. Each server could be one island or identical islands with diffrent development of the society. And each server should also be able to contain 1000+ players.

realistic bankrobbery game where you're the robber and the game includes ofc epic firefights with cops like in the movie. sounds lame but thinking bout it just gets my pants wet |

-Graphics of Command and Conquer 3
-Features of Company of Heroes, like the infantry cover system -Modified gameplay of Command and Conquer 3, like adding more strategy It's funny seeing infantry squads getting run over by dozer blades left and right from Scorpion tanks because they're not running away from it |

You control a PMC/Mercenary force in a country currently engauged in a civil war. There are a few major factions (for example, the current government and a rebelloius general attempting to overthrow them) as well as small factions, who don't have a specific interest in who wins the conflict but have been caught in the cross fire and now have to go on (for example trans nationals who have interests there, NGOs, smugglers, other mercs, etc). You are free to aliagn yourself with any of the factions involved and take on contracts from them.
These contracts could include directly combatting the opposing faction, VIP protection, training troops, weapons aquisition, intelligence gathering, logistical support and so on. You must also consider your reputation among the factions. It would not reflect well on you if, say, the leader of faction x got slotted while under your protection. Or a fiercely nationalist force may be less inclined to do business with you if you've undertaken security contracts with a trans national they want out. You must also manage your public relations, if you are too involved in direct combat you may risk international censure, if you execute enemy prisoners you should not expect mercy from the opposition, if the world press turns thier attention to this dirty little corner of the world you may face an arms embargo, etc. If you do get an arms embargo placed on the conflict you will need to get around it adding another challenge. Similar mechanics should be in place for escalating the level of equipment in the conflict (say the game starts with both factions pretty much only having infantry and jeeps/cars/technicals but you [and, of course. the other factions if you don't stay ahead of the curve] can bring in heavy kit like tanks, helicopters, APCs, more advanced infantry weapons, etc. But make sure you've got the necessities to keep them running and that you've got men trained to use them). Or in the worst or best case scinario, depending on who's side your on, some actions might even instegate an intervention from an outside power, which could range from UN peace keepers to a country pulling thier nationals out, using military force to facilitate it to a full blown entry into the war. In additon, make sure your mercs are happy and paid, they will react poorly to pay cheques that bounce, high attrition rates, losing battles, etc. If you don't your mercs morale will drop and they'll be less effective in combat, really screw up and they'll leave or maybe even mutiny! You will also need to procure weapons, ammunition, equipment, spare parts, rations and the other odds and ends needed to keep your little show on the road as well as that most important of things, money. You can take on contracts, scavenge from your defeated foes, trade (arms dealing, smuggling, commoditiy exchange, etc), threaten those who have it and so on to get what you need Combat takes place in the first person perspective with a similar style to Red Orchestra. While you are free to engauge in combat yourself you can also order your troops about in real time as well as making a battle plan before combat begins (allowing you to concerntrate on shooting stuff). Or you can leave it to the AI if you just want to fight without having to worry too much about your whole force's plan. When not in combat there is a strategic map which operates in real time, similar to Mount & Blade with various locations such as towns, villages, military bases, oil fields, drug plantations, etc Think Jagged Alliance meets Red Orchestra meets Mount & Blade |

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

I'd say give us a good batman RPG. give us a huge gotham city, bunch of sweet gadgets/vehicles. Merge assasin creed style platforming with a really good expandable fighting system.
You start out as Bruce Wayne traveling trough out asia. (where ever he was in batman begins) This is where you choose your fighting style...etc. You get to gotham and you select your tech tree (yes, you can even use guns)...and off you go. You have a bunch of campaigns that you can start in any order (featuring all the villans) that tie in together depending how you do them and when you star them. And of course the typical bank robbery somewhere (or something) that isnt really tied in. Whatever you do will effect the overall story. Even depending on how you kill (or not kill) the typical goon or how you kill the major villan. You will have some tough decisions that really change the story. That would be so bad ass.....i love batman. |
