Exactly the same apart form 'furniture' is all cream with gold dials/pickups.

Now have 2 basses, a guitar and 3 amps in my room :<
Nice purchase.

I do feel bad for you having all that in your room. I have one amp in my room and I can barey move because of it!

bump,

So considering I've moved country/home a stupid amount of times in the last five years, it's been that long since I've actually owned a proper amp.

My first proper amp was a Marshal TSL602, which I eventually swapped for a Line 6 Flextone 2. Yes, I know that is epic facepalm in hindsight, but it was a good choice at the time considering I mostly played at low volume (didn't know about attentuators back then) and I recorded DI. Alas, I started moving around a lot....so for the last 4 years or so, I've been using a POD into a 10W Ibanez learner amp. Since college and moving around, I also haven't been playing anywhere near as much as I used to

But in the next few months, I'll plan on getting back into the same and it'll start wish purchasing a new amp. Budget will be around 400-500 USD. Mostly for home practice and demo recording but I'll most likely get back to doing the odd gig here and there.

My current favourite is the Line 6 Spider Valve MKI 40W.

They're going for 400 USD used since the MKII came out (which is twice the price). I played a MKII yesterday and it sounded really nice. afaik, the only difference is that they added more amp models, better effects management and update capability...not sure if that's worth paying another 400 dollars for tbh....for that price I could get used Mesa Boogie Dual Recto ffs.....

I'll also get a Weber Mini Mass attenuator for volume management which would put me on the 500 mark.

I reckon that will be a pretty good setup. Any other suggestions for the 400-500 area?

Personally, not a big fan on line 6 (Some of the tube stuff is ok, I guess). There's plenty of killer amps out there.

Depends what you want it for? What do you play?

VOX AC30
Orange CR30R or TT
Fender Blues Junior

Then there's some crate, peavy combos. Then there's boutique clone amps... and well, theres a metric shit tonne out there

Cause we throw bombs on it, throw bombs on it. Just smash something, yeah mosh for me.
