Rewriting your national anthem...

For thoes outside the USA would you care if some people re-wrote your national anthem and changed the meaning of the words for political reasons?

What are my fellow americans feelings about our anthem being rewritten in spanish and changing the meaning of the words?

I feel they have crossed the line with this political stunt, esp after they even put american flags upside down on flag poles in the USA under mexican flags. I think there are going to be a lot of pissed of people this weekend because of this.

Is the USA going through a Spanish revolution? Speeking spanish is almost required to get a job now.

Although English is not an official language in the United States (as there is none), it is used for legislation and is generally accepted as the "common" language. I think the anthem and other pieces of history should remain intact, regardless of which language they are in. In this case, the anthem should be in English and should also be remembered & taught that way.

This is ridiculous, it's people like the Mexicans that take insulting Americans too far. Someone needs to give them a good slap, when the rest of the more level head countries 'wind' the Americans up we look like bad guys.

I refused to take Spanish class next year because of all this "You should learn to speak Spanish" bullshit. I told my principal there was no way he would ever get me to take Spanish, so I'm taking Arabic or Russian instead.
