Can't wait to order my laptop

I'm pretty giddy about getting my laptop as birthday/graduation present. Sure, to get this one I'll have to put out $200, it looks like an awsome deal to me. I haven't bought it yet but I think the reviews speak for themselves.

My desktop will be my powerhouse, especially when I get a 7900gt. My laptop will only need to run new games on lower settings if even play them. As long as I can still play HL2, CS:S, unreal 2004, and other last gen games on mid/high settings I'll be more than happy.

sweet, actually might be better than mine, or almost better, if I remember right I spent about $900 USD on my Compaq R4000 - added in wifi, bluetooth, a 12 cell battery, 512 ram, an Athlon 3200 64bit, 512 ram, 60 gig drive - I'm probly missing one or two other minor things

thing plays HL2 pretty well, though it sucks the hell outta the 12 cell (the biggest they offered), so I gotta plug the charger in when I wanna play games for any length of time. has nice altec-lansing speakers, but the thing is, when I play games like HL2 that chew through the processor and memory and hard drive, it plays game sounds really crappy - though in which case (and often even if it doesnt) I just pull out iTunes

ya, I think I'll get a 7900gt this weekend, though I'll have to upgrade my psu also...

K, I found another laptop that I like. I think the processors worse, but, the graphics card is much better. About the same price and about the same specs other than the processors and graphics cards. What do you guys think?

lonelyjew, Check out alienware or dell. You can tweak them out to find a suitable price. In terms of mobile gpu's go nothing less than nvidia.

big problem about craptops is that when they brake (ie, 1 of the keys off the keybnaords brakes or anouther small problem) you cant fix it cos if you attempt to fix it, you viod the warrnety, and so you have to spend arround abouts 1 month talkign to them on the phone, sending it to them, waiting for them to repair the small prob, then send it back to you which takes a very long time....

also they do like to brake alot from my exsperince of having 2 craptops in the past.

I much prefer a PC which you can upgrade, fix and do what ever you like with it + it cos much less. The only problem is its hard to take round with you like a craptop can do and is desined for.
