I may hope the small city in the South-West of the United Provinces is Bergen op Zoom?

what video drivers u running? if its the nvidia 182.08, roll back to 182.06, 182.08 was not tested with ETW, they are said to be releasing a patch this week to fix the crashing issues.

Mine crashes when certain actions happen, randomly, the enemy ship pulls up to mine to attack on the campaign map...crash...but I reload the autosave and move my ship, then they attack me in a different location...no crash. Crazy.

-No, it's 1799. And I don't think the game freezing would be a good end to the campaign either...

-Empire was updated about an hour ago, now the save game's working again. Happy days! Brits are really taking their time though...
