Just released for PC demo a few mins. ago:

Download: Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. Demo

My game rig motherboard is in the middle of an RMA, so I will have to wait to try it out. Anyone else give it a go?

I'll give it a go.

And in all probability think "This is a Tom Clancy game made after Raven Shield! Why did I bother to play it?" after about 20 seconds.

But my joystick needs some non-'Mech related exercise.

I've played the demo on my Xbox, I thought it was fun

And now I have to download it for my PC to see if it can handle it

The XBOX version was pretty fun. The only drawback is you can only play the two missions (one is training). The cool thing is if you keep playing over and over you can level and unlock new planes...

Using a joystick is pointless. The game doesn't detect fine adjustments so one may as well use a keyboard.

The whole assistance on/off thing is rather annoying. The game gives you training wheels unless you use the really lame 3rd person view. I just don't understand why they wont let me stall when I'm in cockpit view, but if I'm in this ridiculous third person view I am suddenly free as a bird? Also: all of the voice-acting makes me wanna puke everywhere.

I have played the newest ace combat a bit to check it out but I can not really take any game serious where planes rearm their missiles while dogfighting... or flying over the airfield (Yes BF2 I'm looking at you!)

nail on the head.

thought it was kinda funny you could do some sick backflips with ANY type of plane if you are out of cockpit... even though that kinda requires thrust vectoring...

	The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
