I came across a crashed jeep out in the middle of the desert at night. Must of came around a corner and flipped upside down with the driver yelling about something, after trying to calm him down we understood what he was saying "where is my wife!".

She ended up getting thrown out and woke up a few yards away form the jeep. Covered in cactus thorns and dirty wounds. Took 45 min to find a Ranger (this was in a national park).

Of course the worst was coming up to a crash site and seeing a man dead in the front seat from an head on impacted and his kids are screaming in the back seat covered in blood. The guy tried to pass a military convoy around a blind turn and speeding on top of it all. Impact involved two cars, a humvee, and a 5 ton truck. Impact was hard enough to flip the humvee over.

Sorry Gazz not trying to steal your thunder.

Well we do copy the US at everything else, and every other ad on TV seems to be one of those bloody personal injury things...

np CRF... that was exactly what i was fearing when approaching the car .

im just well proud that me and my friends performed and helped a person in real need, feels good.

i reworded it as it was to much "me" and "i".. i typed it to fast and i wasnt the only one.

You did a great thing, as small as it may seem you just might have saved her life. What if another car came around that corner and slammed into her as she was crawling out.

And a far as getting sued I'd rather be sued then know someone died when I could of helped them. But in no way does that stop me from being helpful AND careful.

Witnessed another car crash and while everyone else was trying to pull this women out of her airbag smoke filled car I calmed everyone down rolled her windows down and made here stay right where she was until the paramedics arrived.

i think thats where allot of these lawsuits come from, people over-reacting and not thinking. Which is understandable in a emergency.

Well in the US many states have the "Good Samaritan Law" that would protect you from being sued if you help someone in need voluntarily without being reckless when doing so.

Does the UK have something similar?

the good samaritans act prevents you from being sued so there is no issue there.
