Can someone give me some solid proof before I jump on the Bear Grylls hating boat?

Though i enjoy watching both of them i voted for Bear. He is top banana as far as i am concerned, i dont care if half of it is put on, its fantastic entertainment.
Though i have loved Ray for years (not in the biblical sense) when i watch him now he worries me. He gets out of breath putting his boots on and looks tired all the time, and how many more grubs does he need to sustain his bulky frame? I wonder if his survival magic is weaker the Bears?? Bear in comparison looks good, eats anything that moves and drinks elephant wee!! He is the man!! |

Grills is more entertaining sure but when it comes down to survival, Les Stroud > all.
For instance, in one episode grills advises drinking urine, and proceeds to do so... Les, on the other hand, shows how to setup a proper sunstill (I forgot what its called) that removes the water from the urine, leaving out all the toxins and making it drinkable. |

Bit like saying which is a better newspaper.. The Sun or the Financial Times, one's a comic book joke and the other is a bit serious....
Grills is a total wally and joke, so Bears gets my vote. |

Think of it this way; if you were stranded in a jungle/desert/arctic and had to wait a month for rescue, would you rather have Grills or Mears with you? Easy choice for me...
