Turned 21, bought my first Pistol

I bought my first pistol on Tuesday. A Glock 26, a sub-compact 9mm pistol. I would like to carry it concealed, but since I'm studying to be a teacher I couldn't take it to work.

All told it cost me about $660 for a brand new pistol, 2 10 round magazines, a case, 40 Federal Hydra-shok hollow points, and 50 Winchester FMJ's.

Ammo is so much more expensive then it used to be though, I remember when I bought 100 8 shot 12 guage shells for $20, and now the Hydra-shoks cost about $1 a round.

Probably over Christmas I'll get a holster, some magazine holders, and maybe some higher capacity magazines.

Yes, the hollow points are for defense, the FMJ's, along with the others I will be buying, are for the range when I go in December

hollow points are the only way to go really, in some places, Hunters and police are required to use them because they kill and not wound and they are less likely to over penetrate.

Looks good. I've always liked the look of Glocks. Can't beat an M1911 but northing really can. Have fun with your weapon!

I considered one of those, but wanted a 9mm. Though when I get a .45 the 1911 will definitely be at the top of the list.

i would prefer a springfield XD sub-compact over a glock. got some more bells and whistles than the glock, but that's a ncie gun.
are you thinking about getting an extended magazine for pinky support?

I swear i read someplace that no branch uses hollow points aside from Crew members of the airforce.

	Everyone wants to easily kill their opponent but nobody wants to be the one easily killed.
