When you are at the range, I suggest you get some custom made targets. They should look something like this:

Because as everyone knows, preparing to defend yourself against the eventual zombie apocylapse is far more important than defending against muggers.

I bought my first (and only) pistol (air) when I was 15.
Still have it, but unfortunately not allowed to use outside
my home.

Anyways, it's a Webley & Scott Hurricane .22 and looks like this;

Not mine but almost identical right down to the missing sight guard!

It has a really nice grip and has a nice weight and balance for
target shooting. It's only accurate (reasnably goode groupings)
up to 15 metres.

I bought my girlfriend a Gamo VH Whisper Pellet gun that shoots PBA ammo at 1400 FPS. That's hypersonic.
It kicks like a .22 rimfire, actually more, came with a scope, laser designator, and flashlight on a rail system.
It's just for targets and the occasional squirrel that goes near my garage/barn.
It's one pump.
Makes a loud crack.
It actually shoots very far and has startled anyone who I gave it to, to have them ,"try it out"

600 buck for it and a case that holds another rifle, an airsoft .6mm BB sniper bolt action gun.
She likes that too, last years birthday present.

2 things. First, if you're serious about using that for self defense then pony up the cash and put some HydroShoks through it at the range. Practice with what you carry. They do tend to handle differently and you need to get the feeling ingrained if you ever want to actually hit something under stress.

Second, does that thing come with it's own purse?
