you talk about guns as if they are a fun little toys.. Well they aren't and they are really unneeded , and certainly not worth bragging about.

And seriously whats up with hollow points? you planning on killing someone for trying to steal your handbag?

I'll try and respond without turning this into a debate.

I purchased the Glock 26 for 3 reasons.

1. Collection
2. Protection
3. Target shooting

Collection: I just flat out enjoy firearms. I enjoy their look, their feel, their operation, taking them apart and putting them back together.

Protection: I take responsibility for myself and those around me. If I am placed in a situation where I would need to defend myself or my family, I want an effective weapon to do so.
Protection B: If I had my way, teachers who wanted to accept the responsibility to carry a weapon in the classroom would be licensed, trained, and allowed to. I also think students in universities should be allowed to carry firearms on campus if they pass a CCW course and are licensed. As it stands now, schools are just big targets for criminals and the mentally disturbed.

Target shooting: Again, I just enjoy this.


Edit: Hollow Points

I purchased hollow points because I purchased a 9mm. A fully jacketed 9mm round can over penetrate a target, putting whatever is behind it in danger. Hollow Points hit a target and "mushroom", expanding and transferring more energy to the target, which cuts down on over penetration.

Due to the cost of these rounds though, I am not going to use them as range ammo. I might buy another box to use at the range, but the less expensive FMJ's are what I bought with the range in mind.

This is true. Which is why I consider my firearms as a defensive weapon. If I don't have to shoot an attacker, that's great. I don't want to kill anyone, but I accept the responsibility to do so if necessary.
