Bit confused( A-levels , Highers)
Ive been considering lately of my future career and one that apppeals to me is to try be an officer in the british army when im 18.
Im a little confused to it though as the qualifications in scotland are diffrent to that in england. Is a Higher in scotland the same as a A-level in England or is it a advanced higher? Regarding ALIS points on GCSE/Standard grades.. How do i find out this information? |

Re: Bit confused( A-levels , Highers)
Does the UK use the same system as the US, ie. ROTC or Military Academies, to staff its officer corps?

Re: Bit confused( A-levels , Highers)
Im pretty sure A levels require you to have done one year of uni in scotland, (i know people who went to glasgow uni and had to do 4 years instead of 3 because the first was a repeat of A levels -something to do with the different system)

also many people get sponsered by the MOD through uni, who then go through sandhurst for officer training afaik, havent done much research into it | |
