Death Race = best guy movie ever?

Well I'm standing by my opinion :P The death sequences were awesome, cars shooting guns and exploding and flipping. I think you guys ought to learn to turn off your brain. I mean the Dark Knight was silly too, fingers prints off a bullet lol, but that didn't stop me from enjoying it.

were not saying that movies that dont make physical sense are stupid, But the movie u are reffering to had a left4dead plot, a cast of bad actors, although some were good, and it basically flows like any other action movie out there nowadays. It had zero originality, which in turn makes it no better than any other action movie iv seen to date.

What sets this movie apart from dark knight, was the genious in the storyline, the amazing scenes which i wouldnt have expected. By whatching that movie u had NO idea what was gonna happen next, it made sense, it was perfect, it was GENIOUS. It also helped that the joker was played by a man who gave his life to the role. I do not see ANYBODY else make the joker a better character than heat ledger did. He really gave the sense of a psychopath, how many times can u say u were really feeling in touch with a character in a movie? Not with death race. Its just a mindless bunch of random left4dead.

This in itself was not half as bad as the pilot himself, who decided to swoop in nice and low into an structurally unsound area with overhead blockage. The only movie that portrays the Air Force slightly correctly in recent years would seem to be Transformers.

No, because shooting a missile fourteen miles away from the target isn't exciting. Just like any other action movie in history all the fights have to be at point blank range. I mean, if you were to shoot down a cargo plane with a WWII style plane you'd just match it's speed and sit behind it blowing the crap out of it. But this is Hollywood so he'll do barrel rolls around the cargo plane shooting an AK through his cockpit window or something equally ridiculous. If this was a car chase they wouldn't just hose the car for fifty yards back even though they have an M249... no, they'd pull right up along side it while driving on the wrong side of the road so they can inevitably get forced off a cliff or into a semi. Anybody remember the Apaches in the Godzilla movie? They had to chase and engage the giant lizard at street level from ten yards away. Never mind that their rockets wouldn't even arm at that range but whatever.

Well, one movie that did it fairly well was Cloverfield.

Aside from war movies that strive for authenticity it's rare to find these things portrayed correctly mainly because a lot of it wouldn't be visually impressive. Die Hard 4 wouldn't have that "awesome" (yet laughably stupid) action sequence if the F-35B pilot just fired a missile from a mile away.
