I played WoW for a while after it first came out. I've never really been into the whole fantasy crap, but a bunch of co-workers played it so I figured I'd give it a try.

Honestly, there are some fun aspects of the game. There are features that are similar to most MMORPG's like resource gathering and crafting, and I found it amusing to go out fishing when you are bored. Some of the quests were also funny, usually written with a few innuendos directed towards the adults yet vague enough that kids wouldn't get it.

I've never really liked the PvP games either, even with FPS games I prefer mostly co-op than MP. With PR I make an exception. But the PvP in WoW can be down-right cruel at times, getting ganked as a lowbie by several high-level opposing players. On the other hand, I sometimes found a little twisted humor in sneaking into enemy territory and slaughtering newbs myself.

Sadly, my character in WoW has about $2000 USD worth of supplies and items sitting in various bank toons and storage bags. Several times I've thought about subbing again just so I can so sell off all that shit on Ebay or something.

It's not the worst MMORPG out there, but it's still got a lot of messed up players. One of the funniest things I've ever seen was the South Park episode that made fun of WoW. Oh, and this...
