I have lost hope with Blizzard. For one of the world's biggest game companies, they sure do like to not be innovative. They rehash the same shit over and over again. You'd think with 165 million+ a month you could afford to try something... different. It's what's driving the game industry to stagnation.

Not true, well, not entirely true. B.net will still be free to play, but certain features will be monetised as apparently now they're making 50 bajillion dollars per month on subscriptions to WoW they can't afford to run the whole lot free like they have done in the past when they were only funded by games sales...

Also, they confirmed that they're making a new MMO not based on any of the 3 main series, so they are moving into new creative terretory. Or old, if they take up my suggestion of lost vikings (yes folks, at the Blizzard WWI '08 in Paris I was the one who yelled out "LOST VIKINGS!" when L80ETC asked which series they were missing at the closing ceremony.)

But we'll see. My faith ain't lost yet, but after the unspeakable things they did to Raynor's voice for SCII it is getting streched thin.

Seriously, $15 isn't that much unless you don't have a job or have a lot more you already need to pay for.

It's like saying why do people go to bars/clubs when they can go buy booze at a liquor store and then drink at home or their friend's house.

Also, imagine if they fully changed SC2. You know how many people are gonna be pissed? And if it's the same game, people will still be pissed.

PS - Also, you have to pay people a lot to put up with the large amount of idiots and crybabies that play it.
