I think what he is hoping is that since this is a reality mod and there are alot of people in the military he may find someone who was stationed at Ft Bliss/hood

It sounds a bit strange but I could keep contacting doctors, and the people at Ft Bliss/Hood. We here have a list of names of current soldiers, here is the list.

Use the list to see if any of them are in a unit that you know is or was stationed at those 2 forts. best of luck mate.

Brummy. I only posted this once in one forum. Originaly posted in PR general discussion and then, as you can se, was moved here to off topic area. As far as your claim to three other posts I have no idead what you are talking about. Unless of course a MOD is responsible but I seriously doubt it. Your claim then turns interesting to me. If these other 3 are not under my user name then that may be some of the info I am looking for. Please provide a link to the other 3 posts so I can check it out.

Thanks for the list LtSoucy I will check it out.

Desertfox got it right.

Thanks

Okay fine you want clarification, here ya go.

I'm a 19D, which means I've had contact with DU

Though not nearly has much as my 19k brothers. Oh all the chemical shit we get exposed to over here (1 tour in Iraq currently on one in Afghanistan) both from local enviro's and military stuff, DU isn't even on the giva'crapo'radar. Hell just today we had a vehicle fire in the 3rd truck in our convoy. between the burning insulation/wiring and the old as dirt fire extinguisher with PKP in it, I'm hacking up a storm. That's just today.

My rather obvious point was that DU isn't the 'cause' he should be looking for. Go to the doctor's, get a few other opinions. For all we know he was a heavy smoker, inhaled battery acid (had a section sgt do this), etc.

Re: Army people do you relate to any of this?

Let me guide ths back to my purpose of posting. Drift is starting to occure. I am not specifically blaming a certain NBC incident just yet. The cause my current health problem has no known cause. Smoking would not get the finger. Yes I had a few in my section that did so but was always done outside. I am trying to find another individual that may have the same symptoms. (Scaring on lungs and Balance problems without dizzyness being the major symptoms) Also they have not gone overseas to Iraq, Korea, Afgan etc... It must match my first post as desribed. Prolonged exposure to Ft Bliss, Ft hood, Ft.sill, 13P/D stuff, 13M stuff and Survey equipment. I was discharged in 2003 (Honerable) and just now showing theese symptoms. Radon exposure is a posibility but the problem is that acording to Radon level maps niether the posts mentioned or where I live or lived is listed at high risk for Radon. I would have to be something that develops slowly.

Why I posted here? While trying to find answers including non military related posabilities this site came up a lot in my searches. Many posts from military people and thier health conditions as a result. Some kind of match my problems but most had overseas involvment. This is not the only place I posted about this. The more widespread my question the more likely to find a match. I only started throwing this out less than a month ago and so far not one return. I am aware that a majority of people that come to this forum have probaly never been in the military but there are those that have or even grew up in a military family. I realize the answear may not come from this site at all but it never hurts to try.

Have you seen a VA doc recently? Check radon maps for where you live currently if you think that might be a cause. Balance problems to me always cropped up when something was fubar with my ear's so that's a thought. What have you been doing since your service?

Re: Army people do you relate to any of this?

Radon maps of my current location show little to no risk of harmfull exposure. Windows at my place are open most of the time to prevent using AC. A strucal build up of Radon would not happen since there are alway big holes for it to escape. Since service I have had many type jobs. None of which invovled chemichal use of any kind. Mostly in warehouses. Did computer tech work for four years right out of service. I do have Tinnitus and see VA for it. I had the doc check the ears to see if anything there may be causing the balance issue. Ears where fine other than the ringing. He also mentioned that balance issues with the ears would also have dizzyness with it. I do not have dizzyness. One of my service connected dissabilities has prevented me to work for the last year. I am at 80% through VA. Going for the 100%.

When talking with my primary care VA doc about this I was sent for MRI. Other than a cyst found in my sinuses not major was found. X-ray showed the scaring in lungs and I was sent for CT. The CT showed noduals in the lungs that do not appear cancerous. Recomendation for another CT in 6 months. I have found a few diseises that can cause balance issues with no dizzyness. The ones that affect muscle mass. Where the muscles become week or die causing a slight loss of controll that can appear to be a loss of balance. Also found a few diseases that can have scarring in the lungs. All are usualy related to something inhaled and grow very slow causing damage. Knowing theese desieses does not tell me where it came from.

Very good questions. Looking at all posibilities is a good thing. Just trying to see if all this would by chance be military related.
