Default X3: Terran Conflict

X3:TC is basically X3.5, a follow up to X3 Reunion which was discussed on this board a couple of weeks ago. What I want to know from anyone who has bought it is whether it is different enough from X3 to warrant buying? From the screenshots and description it looks very similar, with mostly the same ships and I think the same sectors.

It's a stand-alone, right ? I might try it.

I hope I will like it better than the first X3, I hated it so much that I hid the CD to keep me from installing it again.

It's a standalone yeah.

New ships, sectors, corporations, interface. Gameplay is essentially the same as X3, but enhanced.

Yha but doesn't XTM mod do everything that TC has? So you can buy X3: reunion for $10 and add several scripts for free and voila, you've got yourself X3:TC.

If it did, I wouldn't have had to spent the last year testing it :P

hehe, so is it worth buying then? I really want to have a better X:3 game with a better interface, but due to the economic downturn i have to be prudent with my money. I need to know if its worth it :P

i bought it and i like it. i'm a more or less hardcore fan though . there are several storylines, a few new sectors (including loads of terran sectors) and a shitload of new ships. much of the new stuff can be found in XTM, but i think it warrants a purchase. especially the interface changes rule (you can actually fly with a mouse properly )
