The effect of certain games i.e. PR on how you play other games

When i play CS source thesedays(which i picked up again when i realised that Soldieroffortune was playing one day and wanted to kick his ass).

- I use suppressive fire instinctively.
- The buy menus annoy me that i don't start with kits already.
- I forget to look at the minimap
- I find myself walking spontaneously as i forget that its "run-on" by default.

- I find that playing halflife 2 is the best pistol training for multiplayer, so if you want to improve your PR pistol work, go and play through halflife 2 on hard, mainly using the pistol (one of the training secrets revealed... ) (i'm going to regret that)

What other games do you find you have to change the settings on, or do you find you are a: a LOT better at since you played PR, or b: a LOT worse at.

Do other games confuse your gameplay at other games?

I would guess that unless you are arcade-FPS-shooter nickbond (some of this might apply to you - yes you bond with your COD 4 "rewards" er hacks

We are still the gods of vietcong though.

Halo- I move along walls, stop, then turn. I try and stay down behind anything i can just so i'm not seen. Try to be invisible, even without the cloak.

Pretty much any other game i find myself using the terrain now. I don't fire unless i need to.

=D

I blame thescot for bringing attention to my sig XD curse you!!!
Now i must make a better, smaller sig

  • Sometimes when i find myself in a position where I see rolling british hills, I often find myself looking for enemy depth, and the most suitable place to build a firebase.
  • When applying a plaster, i often rip off one edge shouting "need first aid"
  • if I ever go out, i always ensure that two people are within 20m of me for rally point, particularly useful when going down to a club.
  • Finally, I took my new Fiat punto back to the garage, complaining that there was not enough space for me and my 5 other squad members, along with no button to drop ammo crates. I received a bewildered look, and was asked to leave.

I haven't played either since they were released, but CoD4 and Bf:bad company (xbox360) became just annoyoing. The crosshairs are very irritating, and you simply won't die even if you get shot 4 times in the chest.

Company of Heroes too. It's weird how soldiers can survive being shot by a machine gun continuously until they finaly get up and leave practically unharmmed.

Whenever I go shopping at Tescos, I always smoke the entrance to give me cover

When I go tenpin bowling, I always lie on the lane, completely still for 80 seconds, to make sure I dont throw the ball through the bar behind me.

When Im on the phone to a call centre I reply "roger" "negative" "copy that" and always ask "have you got a mic?"

Too right mate, can barely get out of Tesco's alive anymore; I wouldn't mind...but the respawn times get really long.

When playing Combat Arms, I avoid the rifles and go straight for the LAW. Why toy with deviation when you can get a sure kill with a bazooka?

I right-click to bring up ironsights, only to my demise, find that in Combat Arms, ironsights aren't an option.

Crouching and walking improves aim compared to running and bunnyhopping.

Put a move marker on the bakery section - they always have a secret exit out the back there

i kind of play all games the same way, just at varying levels of speed,

Aim for the head and keep shooting till they drop---> reload---> next target.

obviously i play PR at a slow speed but only because it forces me to,
and i play CS:S and Cod 4 fast because it allows me to

Shitewo1f: oh, he's got his cocky boots on again...
