whit the last 1 i checked it when i got it they did not screw the screws properly so it was almost also FUBAR'd so now ATI works great

Curse those Russian engineers and their ingenuity... they finally found a way to make a 747 fly, just like all those so-called aerospace experts at Boeing couldn't. Oh the shame!

That's fine, that is factory OC. As long as YOU didn't OC it and it's under warranty they should replace it.

I just picked up a used bfg 8800gt oc off craigslist last night. I was getting 25-30fps on med settings in PR with my old 7600gt, now I get 90 on high. It's amazing how much smoother it plays now. Paid a Benjamin for it.

I'm glad you got a new card man, but I can't believe you paid $100 for a used 8800GT. The 9800GT is the same thing, just renumbered, and they have lots on newegg for $99-$109 new.

Pride, your mobo may be running the vid card with a PCI or AGP slot, which is insufficient for mounting newer graphics cards.

I play Falcon 4, 9800 and up series cards don't work with the sim, neither do the new ATI cards with AA enabled, which is really gay, and many people found this out the hard way. Not to mention the performance btwn a 9800 and 8800 is minuscule. And my system is old so it wouldn't even get the most out of either. I bought a card that would improve the games I play now, and a couple that are about to come out (ka-50 and FF5).

I know they are the same and the same price, but like I said I have my reasons.

No, I mean they are actually the exact same card. Not just simular, they are the same card. The 9800GT is just a 8800GT card, with a new sticker slapped on the fan.
