Sometimes i wish that people were smarter and less egotistical. Meaning less prone to Fads and be more rational and cynical. Fuck! Please someone make another Musical revolution! Bring back Heavy Metal, Psychedelic rock, 80's rap, and Pop stars with talent!

There is still new music that is good, Scars on broadway is a great exempel of that. But then again there music is not played on the radio.

I know where you're coming from. I have dug deep my friend, saying that all this mainstream shit sucks doesn't mean I don't have lots of decent stuff to listen to. I go to underground gigs quite often and I love a bit of doom, psychobilly, grindcore, 'noise'? lol etc...

I just wanted to have a general rant but yeah, I've seen Dilinger Escape Plan more than any other band but not for a couple years now, I love it when people call them noise. I'm all like, "This is just music your little brain cant comprehend, lol." Meshuggah pulled out of a gig recently near me where they were going to play with D.E.P so I didn't bother doing. *cries*

Personally as a 17 Year old in Sweden I listen 80% of the time to music from the 60's to early 90's.

But I have to say most of the songs on the play lists you guys are positing dont even appear on Swedish charts afaik.. I have actually enjoyed several popular songs released recently such as:

Well, they make a lot of money and pointing out the top 10 is kinda contradictory, they are obvioustly top 10 for a reason, that being the majority of people like them. I like some of coldplays song, Violet hill was an alright song, not my favourite though.

I'm 17 and i find anything from pretty much 2002 onwards to be considered crap, though the new Metallica cd wasn't that bad... Death Magnetic

and Buckcherry's pretty ok too

other than that, its crap XD

I miss good ol' Harvey Danger "Flagpole Sitta", or the Old Barenaked Ladies (like "Pinch Me")

...people ruined free bird, it's a fun song to listen to, but everyone started being like 'Free Bird' when Guitar Hero came out =/

I have to say "I kissed a girl and I liked it" was catchy, despite how much it made me want to stab babies, it made me appreciate the melody. It at LEAST had a freakin melody, unlike have the songs now, just utter crap.
