I don't get why some people hate steam, I never had any problems with it and it downloads all the patches very fast and automaticly. Plus I pay in dollars when I buy my games over steam so now they are almost for free

becasue its very hard to play offline, takes you money sometimes and sometimes takes forever to patch,

that's the main reason I dont like steam, its automatic update system is nice, if you never need to format etc or if you have a very fast net connection. For some one like me on a 1mb connection, it takes like 3/4 of a day to download all the updates for HL2/CSS and steam before you can start playing, hence why I dont have them installed on my PC.

For me it only takes some minutes to update games. Well sure there is a problem with playing offline but I dont really see it as a big problem.

Of course you can pay in dollars, because Dollars are more popular or "Easy te get" in Sweden, in argentina, 1 Dollar cost 3.50 Pesos.. 1 Dollar!, i hate it too because the best Games, CSS, HL2, RO and many more are only on steam.

Falkun, you are me hero!!!! Retail are stores .. i really hope u are not joking... se we can stop hating Steam.. IM HAPPY!

Counter Strike: Source is available in retail stores but it still runs off steam... just FYI

Al it means is that you wont have to download the entire game and youll have a physical copy.... that youll install into Steam

I think.

yeah, at least thats how it was for CS:S

red orchestra was also sold in stores and i think it still ran through steam too, not sure though

when steam publishes[if thats the term] im pretty sure they get sole rights to sell

could be wrong
