Military Slang / Acronyms

Always amusing some of these.

I know from various folks a fair few british army slang expressions, for those from other lands who don't know them would be good to have those in the know post them up.

Would like to see some amusing ones from other countries (with translations) as well as hear ones that i'm sure will be re-used in PR or just for our own amusement.

Here's one i read recently that adds to a well known one.

Instead of MOUT or FIBUA (Military Operations in Urban Terrain) (Fighting in Built-Up Areas)

the brits have FISH (Fighting in Someones House) - always a good one which reminds those on operation nicely on just who you might offend/injure/kill if you mess up in these operations - someone who just lives there.

Added to this (very poetically) is CHIPS (Causing Havoc in Peoples Streets).

- This one i think has to be unofficial.

For those who don't know what Fish & Chips is in a british sense, just ask a Brit.
