Arma 2 vs Operation Flashpoint 2

I just start this thread here to get some arguements for these games.

I didnt play Arma 1 or Operation flashpoint 1 so I have no idea how different these games are...

So just starting off now hoping in the end I know which one to buy as both will come out Start of 09 and end of 08 probably.

edit: Maybe a Mod can add a poll...

These games arent even close to being out afaik so how could anyone make a real assessment?

hm then see it as discussion about the previews, but I am pretty sure my dates are correct. I got them from a european magazine which is normally pretty reliable.

demos are the best way imo

but from the screenies I've seen, I think OFP2.

side note, do the new models for ArmA2 actually look, less realistic, although cool looking?

Havent seen enough of those games to be able to judge. I guess ArmA2 should have the more realistic engine, shouldnt it? Though OFP2 looks "better" from what i've seen.

Think you have to play Arma2 and OPF2 first and than you can compare each other.

But i realy hope Arma2 wont have so many bugs as Arma1 had.

ArmA 2 look far better than ArmA 1, not only visually speaking. OFP2... Hmm, I don't know. I kinda get the feeling it will be more of an arcade game with less community support.

In my opinion, the screenshots, videos and reviews for Arma 2 all seem ALOT like arma 1, it looks like a Arma 1 mod, not a whole new game.

OFP2 graphics look far better but we have not seen any good trailers yet that show actual gameplay. ArmA2 looks very much like ArmA, a game that is so sloppy and unpolished I really can't play it. Also I dislike BI because they attack their own modding community, rather than just ignore it like Dice does.

I'm more sided to ArmA2 ATM.

I know what I can expect from it, that's what I'm not too sure when it comes to Flashpoint 2.

I still can't forget the OFP2's video with a guy running around with an ACOG stuck up his eye...

If OFP2 turns down my worries I'm buying both.

	Respect the R-Staff, they are pretty...pretty badass so, if you don't like PR, get a refund
