"For anyone that played the original Tom Clancy games (Rainbow Six, Rouge Spear, and the original Ghost Recon), this is exciting news. Jon Sonedecker is a game developer who worked with Red Storm Entertainment during this Golden Age of Tactical Shooters. He eventually broke off and formed his own company called Blackfoot Studios. Until recently, BFS had mainly done outsourcing work for bigger development teams. However, their new project (unnamed) is turning heads of the people who once so loved the Tom Clancy Franchise that has since been straying away from its glorious beginings to focus on console game development."

They have just released a new newsletter announcing a sort of 'side project' called Sky Gods

Quite a bit of reading but the game looks like its going to be pretty badass.






TLDR;

1. Jon Sonedecker a former dev for red storm entertainment starts new company "Blackfoot Studios"
2. Team does work for various games
3. Announces new title "Ground Branch"
4. Due to being self funded the team needs to look for ways to generate revenue, comes up with breaking Ground Branch down into some of its most fundamental game play parts and make a smaller game that focused solely on some of those elements.
5. Sky Gods is announced (Above pictures)
6. Here we are today?

Well, anyone striving to revive the feelings I had playing R6, Rogue Spear, Raven Shield, and Original Ghost Recon has my vote.

lets hope it stays true to its goal. Looks promising.
