Turn 360 degrees and walk away is what you should do tbh.

What exactly is overclocking?

OC= Overclocking

its reall simple overclocking, you can make older hardware as fast as modern hardware so no money for a qore quad Q9950 @2.8 but you can pay
a Q6600 @ 2.4 then you overclock it to 2.8 to have it alsmost the same so you save money for the same speed and its fun to do getting BSOD's

So overclocking is running your CPU at faster speeds then its meant to? How would you do this?

Not only CPU BTW.

CPU (changing FSB/Multiplier)
RAM (changing FSB/Divider)
Videocard (changing memory/core clocks)

These are the most common things to OC.

Overclocking your video card is so easy and can give you a lot more FPS in games. If you do it right, it is safe to do. A lot of people are scared to try. But if you take your time and go slow, it is safe and easy.

Also, with Intel's core CPUs, they are so good they deserve to be overclocked. You can easily run a 2.4 speed CPU at 3.0 just by changing 1 setting in your BIOS. And it is safe to do if you have good cooling in your case.

There are a billion guides out there and I'm sure there is one for your motherboard/CPU if you google it. Make sure you read a few, in case you read one that some dumbass wrote.

If you post what parts are in your computer, we can probably help you do it.

By the way, most store bought computers can't be overclocked, at least not easily.

Oh yeah baby, I scored 1 Minute and 19 seconds on the 1m test, Its a very old system (AMD Athlon XP 3000+) And its got a huge stock heatsink + fan. Not overclocked...since you can't overclock with this CPU or Mobo set up.

I will post a screenie once I get my new system.
