Hey guys, I'd like to buy my first Airsoft gun (electric) but there are too MANY guns that I can't choose and I'm not experienced in this (as I said it will be my first). I'd like to have M4, M16 or any kind of Kalashnikov. It should be effective but not too expensive or cheap. Simply told gun for newbie but it can't be total crap

Re: Choosing first airsoft gun
A lot depends on the FPS limits of where you will play and what you are looking for. However I fully recommend going to a shop and trying out a few. That AK may look nice, but in reality maybe its not what your looking for.
Tokyo Marui is a great newbie make for reliable guns, but they donīt all come full metal, their FPS is lower than others and they can be quite expensive. Some Chinese makes are fantastic for the money and need very little work. Some guns are better with some makes and some better with others. I am sure someone with a bit more knowledge can help. |

Re: Choosing first airsoft gun
Most important are indeed the laws in your country. In germany for example those are very strict, so I'm limited in what I can have. Make sure you're informed about your rights before you start, and learn the safety procedures, if you dont know them already. Not that you get into any trouble.
Then, I'd also say Tokyo Marui is good if you dont need a full metal body. TM produces good quality from what i've experienced and is worth the extra bucks. |

Re: Choosing first airsoft gun
At the end of the day, generally every airsoft gun is identical on the inside. So think of a gun you like, a gun you'd like to use (because you like it's looks, feel, size, weight, or w/e).
Then consider the brand. If you have the cash, go for Tokyo Marui (or Classic Army). If you don't, then consider a Chinaclone (Jing-Gong/JG are an excellent brand) which generally offer good reliability and excellent value for money. Don't forget the additional cost of magazines and batteries. Clones generally come in a cool package - with battery, charger (usually not very good, if you have the cash get a proper cut-off one) and excellent FPS out of the box, which may need to be downgraded depending on the law in your country. Also, what Spec Operator said. I have no idea what the laws are regarding Airsoft weaponry so I strongly suggest you research what they are in the Czech Republic at the current time. |

Re: Choosing first airsoft gun
Now I'm reading law-book and they are saying that gun in that category must have less than 950FPS because it is in category with defense weapons but I can have it without any license so this is ok. In CZ I can shoot with airsoft guns in places where I can't harm anyone etc. so it is not problem I will find this out later.
But I think I have felt in love with this. What you think about that? Airsoft International - Airsoft Guns - Rifles - Pistols - Shotguns - Sniper Rifles - Revolvers - Machine Gun - Accessories By the way thanks you all for your help. |
