You don't need.

It's just all those kids with their brand new 8600 trying to play the game at full HD and Very High settings.

I've managed to run the game smoothly (except for the last boss fight) on medium with Athlon XP 2600+, 1GB RAM and HD2600XT with 256MB vRAM.

Crysis still has the last two thirds of the story AND the Psycho storyline still to come, on an optimised engine. With the engine done, the majority of work and production expense is done, and they still have those three games (read: money printers) to come.

The last half of Crysis sucked. Hard.

The first half, crawling through the jungle killing koreans was sweet.

Fail on second half though....epic fail.

My bet is on Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising for a good engine. My guess is that Far Cry 2 will be an awesome singleplayer game, but not that amazing in the multiplayer department.

brummy think about it, your congo faction would be ownage.

What if things like squads (moddable, etc) and maybe 32 players would be available? Would PR franchise want to make smaller dev groups for other games?

i didnt like about crysis that you had to spend half a mag to kill an enemy. Also jungle island got boring too.

Bah, Far Cry 2 looks less realistic than i would have wished. I mean, look at the weapons, at the gameplay... Somewhat sad - but modable at least. Though the multiplayer would be the worst problem. This aint an engine that could fit better than BF2.
